Default 1987 Wiper Blades ?

What is the correct OEM wiper blade size for an 87? Listings are confusing on this. Some say 19", some say 20", some say left only/right only. I know they have to clear the hood when parked (e.g.- Trico Exact), but can't figure the correct length.

You have some on it? Take a tape measure. If you are an inch short or long you should be fine.

The unknown source ones that are on it measure 19-1/4". Since most places list the 20" as correct, I purchased some Rainex C-20-4's. These measure 19-3/4". So... if a 20" blade comes in at 19-3/4" then a 19" blade should come in at 18-3/4". But I have 19-1/4" blades currently on the car. Sooooo.... I would like to know what the correct OEM size was? Anybody know?

I thought the originals were 20 inch, and most replacements are called out at 20 inch. I installed delco OEM replacements on my 90 - prefect fit with hood clearance -

ACDelco 8-2202 Professional Performance Wiper Blade, 20 in

these are old school technology, but for as much as I drive in the rain, these fit the bill.

got mine at amazon, but shop around for the best price including S&H.

Installed the Rainex (WalMart) 20" blades. The blade very nearly touches the windshield molding on the drivers side. The blade clears with plenty of room on the passenger side. I'm guessing they should be 19". The drivers side molding is already heavily damaged by the previous owner install of the wrong size. Both blades slide under the hood.

The original wiper blades were made by Trico.

My Michelin blades are a nice low profile that fit under the hood just fine. They're well built, have a nice latch, and are refillable. Both of my blades are 20" long. You may need to adjust the linkage, which is under the small screen in the ventilation inlet screen below the wiper blades if they don't park properly, or if they interfere with each other during operation. Amazingly, Home Depot carries these blades! Who wooda guessed?
