Default 84 key wont lock drivers door
It will lock the passenger door though. It turns but feels like it turns with no resistance in the drivers side

Rod to the door latch has fallen off because of retainer failure or the pawl has failed.

- here's a pic - the most likely culprit is the retainer



age takes it's toll on these plastic or nylon parts. not a hard fix - a fair amount of work and a bit of a PITA. i had the same repair on my 85. some part number info...
