86 front spoiler install
Hey gang;
I thought I posted this, but can't find it. I'm guessing I didn't do something right.
So, I bought an old 86 that I fixed up. It had a pretty jacked up front spoiler, so I bought a new one. The two side pieces went on find. the center piece is a mystery. Apparently, the previous owner jumped a few curbs or parking lot stops. The center part of the spoiler doesn't line up with any bolt holes and it's all chewed up and funky looking under there. Since I never had a front spoiler, or never saw what it's suppose to look like, I believe something is missing but can't figure out what.
Does anyone have any pics of thier installed front spoiler center section, preferably where it bolts to the car? I know it sounds weird but I can't figure out what the previous owner was thinking here. The whole damn car was full of some crazy makeshift fixes that had me scratching my head for months.

My 86 center is lower & more back than the sides. When I was checking it out it had a strip of metal that looked like it was made to keep the center from going too low or something, but that was broken form scraping. I remade & replaced the metal strip and pushed it up some. Still scrapes sometimes, but long as it feeds air to the radiator I'll not mess with it. Common problem and replacement from what I've seen on here.

When I first got my car back in 1985 I had a lot of trouble with the middle section folding back and downward. GM came out with a brace kit that stopped that from happening (the lower brace in this pic):
