1984 dash issues...please help
I have a 1984 corvette that I recently replaced the digital dash cluster due to failed LEDs and damage to the film. It worked great for a stretch and then the display went blank except for the turn signals when the lights were on. I found a bad ground (B1) and ran a new ground which has resulted in all the lights turning on but it won't show any indications. I have no idea what the problem is and would appreciate any suggestions.

I had the same problem with my 85, the dash went dark with no backlighting. Turned out to be a bad connection between the two boards, had to replace the connector. (After i had been driving on a rough corrugated dirt road)
Hit the dash pad and it might work again for a while, i have had no problems since the repair. You can always send the dash away to batee to get it repaired.

Yes the ground wires need to be checked first, again the information is on batee's website. The connector pins between the boards are a common problem, my grounds were good however the connector pins were bad.
No matter how good your ground's are, if the connector pins are not making a good connection it finds another like the indicator ground.
