any clearance issues? things look tall in pics but man the price of them is great, i have a feeling TPIS will be loosing a few miniram sales. i wanna get one of those things if i can make it fit. anyone know if they do?
Re: does a holley stealthram fit a c4? (gtsyellow)
Someone has tried this on the forum and the stealth ram would not fit under the stock hood. He posted pics and I believe the hood came about an inch or two from closing.
Re: does a holley stealthram fit a c4? (gtsyellow)
The Stealth Ram is to tall it is 1 inc to tall you will not be able to close your hood.
Grumpyvette has it on his vette and he just loves it to it was to tall he had to get a different hood.
I was thinking the same thing. I have a buddy who owns a machine shop, so I could definitely experiment on one...I'm just worried about changing the flow capabilities of the intake.

does anyone know what the difference in height is between the stock tpi and the stealth ram? Surely it can be modified to work if you really wanted it to!
Re: does a holley stealthram fit a c4? (damionvoss)
u can get a new plenum made for it that is shorter, but, if i had the resoureces, i would do a combination of shortening the runner length (shaving down the top where it bolts to the plenum) u have a limited amount of material u can remove because of the fuel rails, 1/4 inch or so, and put a shorter, and maybe wider plenum.
there is someone online that modifies the stealth ram plenum to fit. i don't have the info, but it is in Grumpy's post on pictures of the stealth ram install

I and Anguish have been kicking the idea around to use the TPI plenum. Just bolt some plates over the openings, machine the holes for the plenum. Bolt it on. The stock plenum is shorter and has all the holes for the TB and throttle linkages. Another option is to use another Holley fi intake and get a square alumnum box like an explosion proof junction box and machine that to fit.
The plenum part really only needs to be a box that the throttle body and linkages a bolt to and will not blow apart if the engine back fires. No tricky engineering here.
