Default Need rear end info.

Trying to decide which gears would be best for my 85' auto. Any suggestions? How do I find out what I have in there now?

If you do a search in the past topics you will find more than enough info to answer your questions.

3.07 on mostly stock engine. 3.54 on modded engine heads/cam/intake.

Look in your RPO codes for a code that starts with G, usually something like GM3, GM1, G92, etc. And post it here and someone will tell you.

Or, what rpm are you turning at 70mph, my automatic with 3.07s runs 2000rpm at 70.

3.07 is the best gear for the L98. If you change to a miniram, then something like 3.54, 3.73 would be an option.
