Default What is this - 1994 Corvette

Tying to my other thread....1994 Corvette

What is this part? Part is about 1x1x1-1/4". Three wires into this part only on the end showing in the picture. No other wires in or out. Black wire in is grounded to the block, large white wire is from the coil and smaller white wire goes into the loom toward the PCM. This part is not shown in the electrical diagram.

My only guess would be a noise filter for the tac. Just a guess

"Crash594" did well - It is the tach filter and it should be in the FSM 8A-20-1 and referenced again in the cluster diagram that will direct you back to the

Where's located? Serms to be over coil, tb right side

It is right next to the coil on the passenger's side front.

I also have a 95, but it is in the shop for new clutch and other work. So can't look at mine. Her's is 94. Find it interesting that this is hardwired into the electrical system.

That is for sure the tach filter. Helps produce a clean signal for the tach to display on the cluster. 95-96' models I don't believe have a tach filter, the feature is utilized within the PCM itself.
