I was working on my 1995 C4 and it was running fine. I went to take it for a ride, let the clutch out a little too fast and the car stalled. I then went to restart it and nothing. I turned the key to the off position and then again tried to restart it, nothing. I now have no lights coming on in the cluster and no ignition. The car is basically dead. However, the PKE still works and when I open the door, the courtesy lights come on, I hear a chime when I put the key in, and the security light in the dash flashes. When I shut the door the security light and the courtesy lights go out. The power door locks and seats all work but the power windows do not. I have tried to read through the manuals but there is no trouble shooting information in there that I can find. I am stumped. Any suggestions.
You mentioned "I WAS WORKING ON" What were you working on?
It's difficult to relate the power window to a "no crank". Turn OFF the PKE and leave the PKE in the house. I'm guessing you understand the PKE since you mention chimes etc.
You mentioned locks and seats work. Is radio FACTORY? Does the radio work with key on? Locks and seats aren't controlled by DAB but windows and radio is a yes. That might eliminate the relationship of some of the trouble.
In a '95 FSM I don't know if the starter/crank is in the 8A-30 section or if it's in the 6 electrical section cell 30.
Okay problem solved, the fuse block behind the battery came loose, tightened up and all things are go
Thanks for the help guys
How about that. I was going to suggest the 2 60AMP fuses in UH BOX after you came back and mentioned what it was that you were working on. Were you under the hood "fiddling"?
The odd part was the PWR Window inop so the DAB came to mind.
