Hey guys got a really weird problem. Car is a 1987 c4 corvette. Whenever we fire the car up all the lights and i mean the interior door lights parking lights brake lights head lights go dim and bright like a ground issue. We thought we had a bad alternator about 2 months ago so we replaced the alternator and everything was fine no dimming lights. This problem has just started.
Today i swapped to a known battery that is good and i made sure that the bolts threaded in tight. It has to be a problem somewhere else im just not sure. The battery cables do not wiggle if you try to move them and theres no corrosion on the terminals. Any ideas?

Don't forget that battery cables have TWO ends and BOTH ends must be tight for everything to work correctly.

It's amazing how frequently that's overlooked. LOL
Early cars on the positive will have at least a 2-wire additional and some a 3 wire, the negative always has at least 1 to the frame rail as well as the larger gage to the engine block.

We unscrewed the rusty bolt that had the two smaller grounds in front of the driver side door area and cleaned them up real good. No change though we are going to swap my good alternator on and try the big ground next.
