anyone know much about these, where they are, what voltage they use/run at etc etc. id like to disarm them somehow. If lt4s got a more lenient knock sensor its pretty much guaranteed that ive got kock, why else wud gm do that. Anyone ???
Re: Knock sensor in 93 LT1 Disconnect help! (5abivt)
They screw into the sides of the engine block. Dont know how to disarm them. I dont think I would anyways. I believe there is a way to add a resistor to desentizie them. The LT4 uses the roller rockers and they tend to make more noise, I believe.

are you talking about the knock module or the knock sensor ?
The module is a $30 part, basically a computer chip that plugs into the PCM.
If you want to desensitize your kock sensor (in the side of the block) you can do that by simply loosening it a bit.
Why do you think you are getting knock ?
i have headers which give me a a/c vibration when on. I also get slight vibes at high rpm. My car used to run reeeal fast, and i think that perhaps knock is why its getting slower.
