car setting code 54 and randomly stalling at low speed/idle
just began this week. random stalling, unstable idle. won't stall under power accelerating or at cruise.
info i have, says low fuel pump voltage; fuel pump relay or quad driver.
question is where is the fuel pump relay???
of the 3 items which is the most probable? (my gut says the relay)

The fix for my code 54 in my 88 IROC was to replace the ecm. I tried replacing the relay but didn't fix it. I looked at this problem for quite a while before finally trying a new ecm.
Probably nott what you want to here but that's what worked for me.

i got the same thing but i get it at WOT. If you figure it out let me know. I'm going for a relay first since it's cheap. Then we work our way around.

Code 54: Fuel Pump circuit low Voltage!
1. Check/replace Fule Pump.
2. Check/replace wiring/relay(s).
3. Check/replace ECM.

Same problem...replaced ECM...then no problem. Not saying that's what's wrong with yours...just my experience.

I got a code 54. Car was very hard starting when cold, start instantly when warm. $11 fuel relay fixed it fine.
Fuel Pump relay is attached to the firewall next to the power brake booster on the engine side of the booster.
Good luck. Bob White

picked up both the relay and a ecu from the parts store (just in case).
tried the relay first and it seems to be OK now. will hold onto the ecu through the weekend - just in case symptoms return.
as always, thanks everyone for the help!
