Default 86 Prom/Diacom

I was talking to Rinda Tech about Diacom today with their issues on my linkup problem on my 86. They suggested an 87/88 prom which he said I should have no problems with, I didn't tell them what I am doing with chip burning, to confuse issues. My setup is a stock 89 code (with an adjustment for FMS 24lb/hr injectors) with Craig Moates adapter attached to an 86 prom. So essentially I am using the limp mode part of the 86. Could this be screwing my up connection? Or are all the instructions in the 29c256?

All instructions are on the 29c prom. I run an '89 calibration on the '86 memcal with the CM adaptor, no problem linking to CM software.

Way back when I started this, I couldn't link at all. No way, no how. Swapped in a fresh rebuilt ECM and the linking problems became history.

I too had problems linking to my 86 from my Thinkpad 760CD. Finally tried another PC, and could link perfectly.

Try another PC (I tested with an old desktop machine just to verify...)
