what are the stock rr's on a 90 vert 5.7 , what would be the next best to put on without having to change valve covers?? is this worth doing on a l98 that has poor breathing heads ??? or is there something else i could do that would make horse power, i know i still haven't got the headers yet, TIA

Stock Rocker Arms on an L98 are non-roller 1.5:1.

First of all your #113 Al heads aren't poor breathing; they flow to about 350hp and ported to over 400hp.

A set of 1.6:1 RRs should net about 15hp gain; if you're planning on some serious intake mods go with Ti retainers and stronger springs.

If not headers, at least lose the pre-cats and restrictive front Y for a nice gain.

Install a 160deg stat and fan sw and do the cut-back plug ground electrodes for some decent gains.

Switching over to full roller rockers is pretty easy and going with a higher ratio also should give a moderate gain. People have had problems with 1.6 ratios contacting drip tabs, so you may have to grind these off. Also full rollers tend to be wider than stamped rockers so you will need to make sure they fit with the centerbolt configuration.
