C4 Tech/Performance L98 Corvette and LT1 Corvette Technical Info, Internal Engine, External Engine

Default Paging:LT4 HOT CAM/w auto users.

Can I use my stock stall converter w/ the LT4 hot cam? Should I go with 1.6's or should I go split? Can I use my stock lifters or should I replace them? BTW, this is on a 95' Z28 vert.

Well I dont have any experence with this but I am going to put my 2 cents worth in anyways. First I went with the converter first, thought you would need it due to low speed torque loss, however Nathan has shown on his dyno charts that there is no low speed loss with the hot cam. As far as split rockers go, I would go 1.6 all the way around since that is what the cam was designed for. Good luck!!

Do not need to change the lifters...but you will need to change the springs. I would install 1.6 intake/Exhaust. Should run just fine with the stock converter.....but a 3000 Vig. would be Awesome. :yesnod:
