Default Throttle blade movement.

I posted a topic about adjusting my TV cable and which way was right...pressing the pedal to the floor or actuating it by hand. I was told EITHER way should work. That got me thinking.

When I pull the cable all the way back and press my gas pedal to the floor, the cable doesnt adjust at all (no Clicking noises) but if I actuate the lever by hand it adjust quite a bit (Lots of Clicking noises). Is it possible thatthere is something wrong with my throttle cable and it isnt actuating the Throttle blades enough or is that normal?

I had the same issue with my 86..it wouldnt adjust from the pedal but by hand it would click easily.
Maybe the floor mat is too far up or something,I dunno, but since then I always adjusted the TV cable by hand.It just wouldnt click when pressing the gas.
Go figure.

Try having somebody mash the petal while you see if the blades open up all the way.
