First let me apologize for starting a new thread about this. But, I put Stuck in the search bar and could not find the old thread.
So I had the engine soaking in ATF, crankcase, and marvel in the cylinders. I took two turns off the rocker arms and I made an engine turning tool. A flat piece of steel with a bolt welded to the middle. I then fastened that to the damper pulley. And with a few back and forth turns of the torque wrench the motor rotated freely.
So now put on the water pump, change the thermostat and fire it up.
One question will it fire up without me putting on the water pump and the EGR. I would just like to see if it will run. Then I would like to do a compression test. Before I reassemble the parts and find out I have to take it apart anyway.
Thank you for all your advice. It was ia big help.
If I do the compression test now. It will be a wet test. I would rather run the car. Get all the marvel out of the cylinders. Then I can do a dry and wet test.
Will the car start and run without the egr connected?
Thank you
