engine will turn over but not starting
Recently up till this evening I was having a hard time starting my C4. I checked the easy peasy things first...eg 1)Fuel pump fuse 2) fuel relay under hood checked 3) fuel pump was cycling Checked 4)removed fuelpump/sending unit from fuel tank visibly checked and FOUND A HORIZONAL SPLIT/CRACK IN THE FUEL LINE COMING from the pump to the fuel line. So the pump was blowing fuel back into the tank and not to the fuel line. I did not have a fuel pressure gauge to check before removing the unit from the tank. That being said I had planned on changing the fuel pump anyways and did so along with replacing the split fuel line. Vette is running great right now and Sunday I will take it out for a trial run and would expect to perform much better with the new pump getting all the fuel it needs. Now next Sunday the 27th of Sept I will be able to par take in the VETTS @ VETS in Bedford MA. Thanks to my son Derek for letting me help him with this repair...he is a great self taugh mechanic any Dad would be proud of.

The fuel line between the fuel pump and the steel fuel feed line needs to be SUBMERSIBLE or the new fuel line will split also. This is what I used:
