Default Brief Scare! Long

I was on my way home when I got to a red light. In the lane next to me was a Mill Yellow C5 Vert. It had a young kid in it. I could see his smile in the dark. I figured it was a good time to try the new gears. When the light turned green we both went. He had a really crappy 1-2 shift. As soon as he shifted he fell back about 1/2 car length. Im thinking yes I got him, but my service engine light comes on. I let off the gas and he flys by. I got home and checked with the scanner. It says that my O2 sensor is not detecting any activity. I just got the car lowered, do you have to do anything near the sensor? I have put about 200 miles on it since I picked it up.

i dont think lowering had anything to do with it....check the connection on the o2 sensor, and reset the computer to see if that fixes it....if not....youll need to replace  . its unfortunate it happened during the race....you probably had him :D . good luck :flag

I used those neat little connection things that don't make you strip the wire back when I installed my heated O2. It too gave me some codes here and there. Finally I redid the connection and it went away. Just check the connections. make sure nothing rubbed through. There is a braided ground wire right there that cut through mine once too.

Good luck its a pretty easy fix.

Yeah, the O2 sensor are around a lot of hot and sharp objects, just make sure the connection is tight and routed away from danger!
