Torque Converter Solenoid
My 1992 was running fine & all of a sudden after about 10 minutes it shuts off. Engine just dies. After a few minutes, it will start and run for a short time. My mechanic says the torque converter solenoid is telling the engine to shut down. It flashes a code 27, along with many more when it's acting up. Could this be the problem?

Sounds like the " Ignition Control Module" to me...When these go bad the car does exactly what yours is doing..Heat causes the ICM to shut down ,but the car will restart..A bad computer can also cause this problem, but check the ICM first..Do a search in the archives for more information..The converter solinoid may be a seperate problem..WW

Unplug the connector at the transmission. If the problem goes away then you have narrowed down the problem.
According to the error code cheat sheet here:

Error code 27 is a quad driver #2 fault. A quad driver turns on relays and solenoids. Each driver has 4 outputs. Usually it sets a fault if one of the outputs is shorted to ground.
