Have had this problem for awhile, car would not start but after you try to start it and come back it might start . I checked the codes and got a Code 42
ignition module (I thought) replaced it and then it didn't start at all, I replaced the coil and it went back to trying to start like before, I was checking some past post here and read a post about unhooking the tach wire from the distrubter and the car started finally and run rough but it started :D :D , but now I am back to square one, it has spark and the fuel pressure reads 42 then drops to about 30 after 1 to 2 min with the key on, so should I replace the ECM and hope this fixes the no start problem?????

You may not be getting any signal from the pickup (thing that circle the rotor and has teeth on and inside ring at regular intervals in the distributor. There are some resistance measurements that can be done on it. I don't know what correct values are but it will probably read 0 resistance or infinite if its bad. Make sure the power connection the distributor is okay. Double check the stuff that you worked on just to be sure.
This might be the maf too. Someone with an L98 should chime in on that one. Make sure the coolant sensor is connector properly.
What kind of wheels do you have on your car ?

When it won't start is when you should look for the trouble. To start, the engine needs spark (and at the right time), air, and fuel. Check the timing with a timing light. Put a small 12v lamp or an analog voltmeter on one of the injector plugs and see if the injector is being pulsed when you crank the engine. Disconnect the air filter to MAF boot so you know it is getting air. If the exhaust smells of raw fuel when cranking but not starting, then you might have a stuck injector making a too rich mixture.
