Default Thanks!

Thanks to all for the help along the way. Today, I have decided to sign off because of the ugliness elsewhere on this forum. I am tired of the personal insults that I have seen posted by a few who think that it is their duty to bash. Many reputations have been damaged. Viewing these has made me feel very very unpleasant. There is so much hate in this world and seeing it here brings a tear to my eye. It has tarnished the image of the brotherhood of Corvette owners seeking to help one another to maintain a legend of a car. I wish you all well!

Sorry to hear you feel like that; you can run from it but cannot hide, it's a part of life.

We have a lotta fun here and there is some infighting on occasion, but by and large it's a great bunch of guys.

Anyway, enjoy your Corvette and don't foreget to wave.

In all seriousness, I have been on nearly every day for the last 6-7 months and have read many of your posts to find you were always a positive influence on the forums going ons. Hope you decide to stay, but much luck either way

Hey Ed,
I hope you decide to stay...while you and I never personally exchanged emails or anything,Ive always seen your posts and you are a great guy here.

I wanted to say I saw the post where you felt bashed but I have to say that you werent really being bashed but were being called to the front and I read your reply and I have to say youre someone that feels deeply for what goes on and I respect you for it..There was a simple miscommuncation and thats all there was.

I didnt reply there because I truly felt that the sitaution belong elsehwere and not on the forum.I dont like putting my 2 cents in if I feel I cant contribute to the subject.

If a deal or emails went sour,so be it.It doesnt change the person you are.

So please dont let a small, minor, tiny, infraction of a miscommunicated deal set you back and make you feel you should go.Look at these replies so far!!! Seems everyone wants you to stay!! That outweighs any negative you may have gotten from a post eh?????

I say let it slide, continue to be yourself here as always and whatever went down recently will be bygones....doesnt change who you are.We all have bad days and arent perfect...but I think you said that better then I did at the other post.

I look forward to seeing you stay....hopefully...

An online friend from the forum,
-Bill

Ed,
Sorry to see you leave, it's too bad when a Vette veteran leaves the forum... gonna miss some good topics and info. I don't blame you for wanting to leave, looked like everyone was ready to torch the "other person" when the new guy posted his complaint. However, once your name was posted everyone realised that your'e not a mistrustful person, so there wasn't anything against you, it's just that the new guy probably doesn't know what it's like to live on a rock or island far away from the mainland (been to Guam before so I know what it's like over there.
Just take a few days off from the forum then think about coming back... not everyone bashes other people...See ya
Seth
Oh, and let's not try to flame the new guy, everyone should have at least one break, we're all adults here.

Sharky, if this is from my deal, please don't let that bother you. I'm very sorry to you if that is part of what is making you leave. You are a great asset to this board, and you have posted on a few topics of mine helping me out. The board needs people like you to help keep it running smoothly, b/c if all the good people left, then there would be nothing left but a bunch of childish antics.

I'm not sure who was bashing you, but everyone else was saying he was new, so maybe he just wasn't familiar with how things go around here. I even looked for the thread that involved you, but to no avail. But I can say that it's not worth leaving over, things like that happen.

And there are definately more good transactions on this board than bad ones, so please stay. Seeing those things on here, doesn't affect the person that you are, and you are a good person.

Just found the thread, and I'd have to say that it's just another miscommunication between the two of you. He didn't know what happened, so he assumed that you were jerking him around. I'm going to say this again, this is no reason to leave the forum. Just enjoy being a vital part of this board, and don't worry about the other little things like this.

Sharky,
I'm not sure if I'm the new guy you are refering to or not, I don't know what thread was the one you are offended by. If I'm the one, I'm sorry. I'm not the type of person that wants to offend anyone, and so I guess I'm saying this to "ALL" members here. If I've said or done something on here that has offended or "bashed" any of you, please let me know. I like to kid and joke around with the best of you guys  , and also just offer my own opinions/experiences to others. I'm not here to make enemies, I'd just like to make friends. I've only had my vette for 3 weeks, and so far I've been helped out by many here and I appreciate it very much  So if it was me, let me know, and please accept my apology :flag Above all, don't let this incident cause you to leave, I think the rest of us "ALL" want you to stay!
