a $1000 is a lot for a test!!!!!! how much is the meter I might get in on this with my cibies.
but still say the hid will blind folks to much glare and no projectors made for them but the china crap.
The meter was $135 plus shipping. I agree if you don't go with high quality projectors or special bulbs it will blind folks. Good quality setups don't though.
What I cant agree with is the led being brighter than the hids. Especially when the company that makes the led headlights in questions says they aren't as bright as hids.....
Their numbers from their website shows that.
Still will be a great tool for others if we can get some readings. Should help with bleed over test too by detecting light levels in the areas that shouldn't have much light aka where it would blind oncoming drivers.
Antfarmer would how horrible the hids were I bought for my F150 a month ago. They were even projectors. Crappy light output and horrible light pattern. Even being projectors it blinded squirrels in trees better than it put light on the road. So yes some hids suck very badly
Another vote for Ciebe's and 100/130w bulbs. High beams light up the night.
Requires relays and heavy ga wiring. If those bulbs are put in stock wiring they'll melt out the dimmer and light switch on the way to blowing the fuse. Mine pull 18amps on low beam.
Great lighting with the flat cutoff especially in the rain since they don't shine up and cause reflections off the rain.
Crowz I looked into the hid before I went with cibies could not find any good projectors. Did you find some and where?
And the real speakers where evan higher than mine. I could have gotton the fake speakers for the same price I paid.

That kit has a full capsule that you install in a normal housing. Its sealed except for small openings to allow bleed over for heat to get out and small amounts of light to light up the "bucket" of the housing. Basically goes in thru the front and has a spin on nut on the back side to hold it in place.
Also I have done a few using bmw and lexus factory capsules with shutters.
