L99 PCM to LT4
I bricked the PCM of my 1996 Corvette LT4. Bought remanufactured PCM and got one from 1996 Impala L99 4.3L. Same part number as LT4 PCM.
I tried to flash my Vette calibration file and operating system using JET DST to the new PCM. Flash aborted: "The calibration is not correct for this vehicle". Force full program or PCM recovery options won't help.
Managed to import LT4 calibration data to the L99 file and then flash this .jcl to the PCM. I guess I now have L99 operating system with LT4 calibration.
Is the operating system on L99 box different from LT4 box? Am I good to go or should I take the box to dealer for updating the operating system?
