Default 1991 Front Raising

I’m looking to get my front up on my 91 ZR-1, bought the carwith the front lowered and in my opinion is down too much. I have a co-workerwho is giving me a stock spring from an 86. Can I just swap this spring in? Springrates between the two are 86(295) vs 91(430). Should I try and add shims to myexisting spring, if so what should I use? Can I use the bushings from the 86spring and would I need to get new spring brackets also?

Thanx J

The '86 spring is a "NO FIT" for your '91.

Where are you located? I have a 16K mile spring removed from a '91 if that interests you.

I would think that attempting to "shim" what you've got is also a "no go". You need to use hardware that's compatible to your '91, that is '88+ hardware.

Maybe check your front spring very closely for damage?

I'm located in RI and would be interested in the spring.

I need to get the car up and look to see what they did, there very well could be some damage to it.

Thanx..
