I own a 1989 Z51 with manual transmission. The car was not running when I bought it. In fact the engine was seized. But now it spins freely.
I have a new fuel pump in it and the two second start circuit is working. I have new ignition wires on the car and it does have spark. Is there a way for me to see if fuel is going into the cylinders?
Any ideas on the will not start is greatly appreciated.
Did you check the fuel pressure at the fuel rail? You may have something as simple as a dirty/clogged fuel filter. Also the fuel pressure regulator may be bad.
On your fuel rail is a Schroeder valve (like a tire stem) when the car is on your fuel pump should load the lines, remove the cap and depress it to see if fuel is in the lines. I agree, an easy way to start is fluid in the TB if there is spark. You said it was seized though so hopefully you have soaked and rinsed the motor with ATF etc several time and spun the motor over lots with no plugs to ensure no damage upon starting.
