I have a 95 Corvette and want to use a switch to disable the ABS to use a line lock at the track. This seams simple enough, just put a switch in-line and cut power to ABS so the line lock will function properly. Has anyone tried this before?
Im sure someone has tried that but not me...but I did disable my ABS on my 86 by simply pulling the fuse.Maybe your model year can be done similar?
ABS is designed so that when it doesnt work you still have conventional brakes...shouldnt be too hard to do what you want to do.
:)
You don't need to disable the ABS to make a line lock work. If you are running differant hight tires on the front and rear it will set a ABS light.
All you need to do is install the line lock near the master and it will work fine with no lights. YOu just turn off your ASR, set the lock and give it gas. :D
