I would make my own. You should be looking at a tune. To increase your OE fan RPM's - Oil & Speed settings. This will drop your temp about 10deg. What is your current temp? That makes you desire a HV pump.
I had a Flowkooler pump on my 85 and loved it. I called them when I got the 95 and was told at that time they didn't make a pump for the Lt1. Great to know that they do now!

Just doing regular maintenance. My 96 has the original pump and want to replace it. I am currently running under 200 in all conditions except for idle. Car is all stock.

It depends on how many miles are on the car, but most of the time the old saying ( If it ain't broke, don't fix it) is something to consider...I have found that most of the newer parts made today aren't as good as the original parts were from GM..I just went through 3 new waterpumps for my 89 before I found one that didn't leak or have some other problem.....I ended up with a new Stewart's stage 1 pump which is a 30% higher flow pump , but it doesn't cool any better then a standard flow pump according to my temperture gauge......WW

I told a friend the other day if it ain't broke - DON'T BREAK IT with new/newer parts
Anything that has DIY or professional rebuild potential, the rebuild/repair should be considered before maybe the purchase of NEW from nearly almost anyone.

But the question then is, where are the parts for the rebuild coming from?.....WW

That's maybe not as important as an already assembled component. You can check the quality of the pieces as a rule and you either "like or don't" which would maybe make them "keepers or returns". Exceptions maybe but I believe that should generally cover most components you or I might consider rebuilding.
