Had an engine all lined up for my car. It arrives today and it is a 305ci not a 350ci as we thought. Ship that baby back.
Although....
I might come out ahead if the new piece of information comes back as valid. There might be a lead on a couple 0 mile 96-98 4-bolt truck engines that were GM rejects because of a silly reason. Heck if I can get one of these, break out the 200 N2O jets baby. ;) I'll fill in the rest after I have one in my hands. :yesnod:
Well then at least you didn't pay beforehand. That would have cost you some monbey I'm sure. What an idiot.
Anywho, what ci are the truck engines? 350? I know you said you want to build your new beast in a 350, but if you have a lead and they're 0 miles/higher ci then go for it.
But probably the best thing to do would be buy one of those engines. And get another 350 for your "Just For Now" beast...I don't know, you're insightful enough, just thought I might try to help out.
Come on, don't you want a heads/cam/superram 305? If the TPI is good enough for the 305 then the superram would be better right? Would be interesting to see how much power you could make. Perhaps if you had another car to play with.

I am sure it would have been taken care of without any loss of money. It is a person that Slo' deals with a lot so they're on very good terms. It was an honest mistake. :yesnod:
We have a small local rivalry going on with some f-body owners. :) There is a track rental coming up 10/4 that a lot of us will be at. There is going to be a heads up Team Corvette vs. Team F-Body match that day. I need to get this and a few other 'surprises' all together and tuned to be ready in full battlegear. :reddevil

This is just the beginning. Once you find the engine, you will likely be just like me and start spending $$$ on the seals/gaskets/etc and other essential upgrades such as the LT4 hotcam I grabbed.
I guess that the corvette can be summed up as the perfect drug. Car has been off the road since april now. I think that I have all of the parts I will be needing!

I have already done all that. I've got a full compliment of seals and gaskets at home waiting to go onto an engine. I'm transferring my heads/cam/intake/exhaust/everything over to whatever we get. :)
