Default Cam/Head/Headers suggestions?

Currently have a stock '96 vette, auto with actual mileage on the engine unknown(safe to assume >100k some of those being rough miles).

I'm new at this and bought her as a project. Would like to do heads, LT headers, a cam swap and a dyno tune.

Plan is to port stock heads, I know a guy that'll do them for like $50.

Any good suggestions for LT stainless headers? somebody said Pace but they appear to only make F-body fitting LTs. I heard OBX LTs fit terribly. American racing/kooks are a bit expensive for this project car.

Suggestions for a Cam? Not worried about emissions, would like a choppy idle and all around good cam, the car will be a daily driver in the summer months. I've have to replace valve springs and the hydraulic lifters(push rods/valves as well?)Somebody suggested comp cam 502 or 409(if I heard them correctly.)

I have no hard limit on price, but maybe

This is unknown but maintenance is key. You can be like my buddy's wire who drives the car till the warranty up and her idea of an oil change is keeping the oil topped up and trading it in before it breaks.

It has to be a set. Intake has to work with heads, cam, headers and bottom end.

I can't think of anyone who is good that will do them for $50. What are his credentials? Does he have a flow bench? How much experience that is good? Sounds almost too good to be true,

TPIS might be good. On my L98, I don't have to remove the starter to get at the #6 and #8 plugs, for instance. Everything fits nicely. I had a set of Hooker, IIRC. They were a pain to get in and you had a hell of a time getting to the plugs. Rusted out pretty quick but you get what you paid for.

I had a cam ground for my application by Hitech Motorsport. IIRC, the guy's name is Brian Ebert. I think he left already but they have since replaced him. I would suggest getting it all matched for whatever combination you have instead of trying to shoehorn it in.

Then get a crate engine from Hitech or Lingenfelter. Should be about $6000 and you have something solid to build on.
