Oil Pressure Sender/Sensor...same thing?
1985 - Are the oil pressure sender and sensor the same thing or two different parts?
Also, I am looking into purchasing an oil pressure tester, does anyone know the size of the adapter needed for this car?
I am being told that replacing the unit on this year car is really difficult..any thoughts from someone who may have attempted this?

This is all three engine oil related senders/sensor/switch in one image for the early L98. This is from an '87 FSM but you should expect the same. Their function is noted.
All of the oil switch orifices are 1/8 NPT.
The pressure switch is related to only fuel delivery function, the sender is for the dash pressure gauge and the temperature sensor is self explanatory.
Degree of difficulty depends upon who you speak to I guess. I've never done one in an early C4, never owned one but it can be a challenge certainly in other vehicles. I believe there are different approaches to servicing and it could have much to do with the persons mechanical skills and previous experiences.
