Question, how do you keep the black threaded part from turning? When I turn the big nut with the spanner wrench the black threaded part turns also.
Am I missing something simple? I looked for a set screw in the big nut but didn't see one.
My foxbody coilover sleeves have a notch on one end so the strut wont let it turn but I'm never really messed with coil over shock kits. I have read to use anti-seize so that the adjuster nut won't seize up or bind. Prob why it's better to use a threaded bodied shock than coil over adapter kit. Still maybe try a strap wrench to hold the sleeve w/o damaging it.
Yeah had it on jack stands. Sprayed lube on them, there's just no room to hold the threaded part while turning the nut.
I thought someone with this type shock might have a trick or something.
