Front rotor dust sheilds

Noticed while looking at a thread someone's 84 had dust shields on the front. My 86 doesn't have them and I was wondering if someone took them off or they didn't have any for 86.

Shields have applications for '87 and earlier but I thought they were only on the '84 & '85 non ABS cars. They're certainly displayed in the FSM but until the suspension changed in '88 there would be no reason to maybe use anything but early images.

You could check the 3 mounting holes I'd think. They were attached with 3 self-tappers and if they were on yours originally I'd think there would be "witness marks" left by the threads.
