On my 96 LT4, I've noticed the computer is very warm-nearly hot to the touch after driven. It appears to have a heat sink or cooling fins molded into the metal top piece so maybe normal.
I'm just wondering if this is normal/common knowledge???
Whenever, I get a chance, I pop the hood to let the hot air escape when I park the car. I think that the temperatures get to the highest levels when the car is stopped. The computer and alternator get heat soaked. Just opening the hood a little helps to reduce underhood temperatures, which should help to increase the life of the electronics.
( No Go ) Don't you think your RWHP is significantly LOW for a stock LT4? (260). With a hotcam LT4's should be putting 310 RWHP to the road, and you have corsa you should have serios power. I thought stock LT1's had more RWHP stock than 260?
