Engine casting number
Accoding to one source, the year is 86-94.
According to another, it is 86-88
I can't go by the year of my car, mine is a C3
The problem I am having is with buying parts. I've been told that this engine is an 87 model, but 87 seems to be a pivotal year.
The heads look like they are aluminum. The intake looks like the old style intake, used on older 350's (I'm running a Q-Jet).
So, does this engine have a roller cam?
If so, do I buy a roller cam for 87-up? Or 87-earlier?
It seems to me, since the intake is the older style, then I should buy a cam for 87-earlier.
Can someone clarify?
Thanks!

Sorry, I'm not sure if the intake makes a difference when selecting a cam. Another topic I will keep an eye on and learn from. ;)
