I've been looking for the belt tensioner in my 1984 corvette so i can loosen the belt to remove the alternator, the only problem is i can find where to loosen the belt. Please help me because I've gotten so frustrated not being able to figure this out.

You lift the tensioner pulley using a 1/2" breaker bar. Take another look knowing that and I believe it will become obvious.
Look at the above drawing which shows the tensioner. Note the pully when it sits on the belt. In the center of this pulley you will see the 1/2" square hole. This square hole is shown on the drawing above. Put your breaker bar in there with the bar pointing to the left and push down. This will lift the pulley from the belt.

I cant find where to put the breaker bar. On my camaro its visibly seen but cant seem to find it on the corvette.
I believe an '84 was likely a single year application so the service tensioner (an assumption) is likely different so you would likely need to get a hex on the pulley mounting bolt and lift. It seems you understand the "required" motion.
