Tach problem
My tachometer is not responding lights up when you start the car what I need to know is how to test it to see if it's the wiring coming to it that's the problem or the actual tachometer itself

Get a hand held and check it at the distributor, at the tach filter and just beyond the tach filter OR have someone with a correct scanner check it at the ALDL. The later check at the ALDL is likely to be the easiest even if you had to pay a little for it.
