Fuel Pump Replacement
After servicing the injectors and installing a new Holley AFPR in my '93 LT-1, the last piece in the puzzle seems to be to replace the fuel pump. The '93 Service Manual tells me I need to drain the fuel tank to take out the sender/fuel pump assy. Is this true? Anyone here have any experience with this? Any tips and/or advice on how to do this will be greatly appreciated.

Just remove the access panel and rubber boot, open and cap the fuel lines, unhook the electrical connector, remove the ring of bolts holding the FP assy flange to the top of the tank and gently lift the assy out through the top of the tank opening.
It's about a 1hr job; one of the easiest R&Rs on a C4.
Be sure to get a new pickup screen for the bottom of the fuel pump.
