I'm a newbie vette owner, LT4.
what is the easiest way to get the front end up on ramps? I tried the rhino ramps with a 2x6 lead, but the spoiler still hit bottom.
any hints on how to get the front end up for an oil change would be appreciated.
thx
I have to drive up on 2x6's then slide my jack under the front cross member. When the car is up in the air, depending on what I need to do, I set it down on the rhino ramps (oil changes) or slide jack stands under the frame where it bends in toward the engine. Hope this helps
Drive up on a couple of old math books, and you should have all the clearance you need. It's not a big deal if the spoiler hits, just bends a little bit but bends right back.
I just took some wood planks about a foot and 1/2 and proped them up with another small peice of wood. They easily drive up the ramps without scrapin or pushing the ramp.
I've got the drive up ramps with 6 inch front extensions, the spoiler still hits. to solve this problem, I stuck pieces of wood leading up to the ramps, and it was able to get the front air dam up enough not to hit the ramps.
