1994 c4
My 1994 C4 has 12K miles. Everything was running fine until I went to start it after adding a fuel stabilizer. The next time I started it everything was running smooth. I stopped for about 15 minutes and then when I restarted the motor it backfired and ran so ruff that I had to limp it back to the garage. After it sat in the garage, during cold weather, I started it and it seemed to run normal. When I attempted to return it to the garage the same ruff idle and backfire started again. Any ideas?

Well-that's exactly what mine did-right out of the blue. Turned out to be the OPTI! Your adding stable, and then having this happen, may have just been coincidence. Mine is a 94 with 27000 miles so I was shocked that it was the OPTISPARK. Best wishes
