I posted this in C3 section but didn't get any answers, maybe you guys can help me. I am thinking about getting a code reader for the 82. Mostly because I have to clear the Check Engine light and I think it will come in handy. I really don't want to cross jump the connector so i figured I should get a reader. I've seent hem for like $50 but
Anyone have one, or know which one to get? Price, where to get it?
Thanks

To clear the codes from an 82, you have to disconnect the battery (the only other option *might* be with a Tech I tool, but I am not sure cause I haven't used one).
Believe it or not, the $50 code scanners are the same jumper in a "rugged plastic connector". The best solution is going to your nearest AutoZone and getting the code key for free. It IS the exact same thing without the housing.
