Installed a Kirban fuel pressure regulator onto my Holly Stealth Ram (modified to fit) in my 1990 C4 383 Corvette. Now I get a maximum fuel pressure of 30psi with the vacuum hose removed, and 25psi with the hose connected while the car tries to idle. So few questions please;
• I have 32# injectors; what fuel pressure should I try and set too?
• I have a factory fuel pump; what is a direct replacement in-tank pump I can use?
Your FPR is regulating fuel pressure below stock specification. You need to have at least 30 psi at idle. If you run low fuel pressure you will need larger injectors. In a sense you will be "reinventing the wheel". There are many threads moving from 350 to a 383. Just need to search them.

you should have 40Lbs start - idle your pressure is to low. the Majority of injectors are rated at 40lbs. Unless noted from the Mfg. Keep turning Until you reach 38 - 40 Lbs. If 32Lbs is the best you can get using a AFPR. your pump is clogged or wasted.

This pressure is FUBAR. I am running 43 all day long which is what the injectors are rated to and with my fuel pump, there might only be a momentary drop if you WOT it but that is about it. Note, it WILL NOT hold pressure after shutdown. I changed it from stock HSR to Kirban and even talked to Kirban but they said it was what it was.

as the other guys have said, you need a minimum of 38 plus.
the first question is, do you know how to increase pressure on the Kirban, and have you been doing that, or is that just what it is as you have installed it ?
So what is the pressure with the hose on and what size are your injectors please?
Ok, that is way better. but your car is going to run rich. Until the Prom inside the ECM is tuned to match your WAY over rated 30 Lbs / Hr injectors. as above 48 Lbs on the rails will up the Flow rate of the already to Large injectors.. Set to 40 - 42 Lbs.
