My original fuel tank has rusted, replacement about 500$ + my own installation work, plug and play
Fuel cell: plastic, will not rust, offers crash protection, costs $150-200 + my own work, little more tinkering to get it work ok but should not be impossible. End cost should be less or similar (if I replace the fuel pump too) to stock replacement.
Sounds pretty good to me. I do have some details I need to sort out but if I can get it to work ok I might just do it.
Why does it sound so far fetched to you? Is there something I dont know about fuel cells? Like they only last 2 weeks or something ;)
OK, Ill make a new thread about the fuel cells...here it is: more about fuel cells
