Default interior light problem.

ok had a busy day today. first i changed the weather srtip on both doors. took everything off. while changing the striping i always had a problem with the driver side door switch. i removed the switch cleaned it and reconnected it and made sure it was tight. put everything back and began doing the discus(you can't throw it as far as a frizbee), and opened the air lid. reconnected the battery started the car then noticed something funny.
the interior lights were on and the door ajar warning light was on. i was like !@#$ :mad . but when the door is open and the keys are still in you hear the chime. i close the door it goes away.
any ideas or should i just order two new switches?

the door switches on my 94 are adjustable. the inner pin will come out a bit with a little coaching and a pair of plyers. pull the pin out a bit then when you close the door it will auto adjust. btw taping a penny to the pin will help but you just pushed it in another little bit. also never use oil on the pin it will make it too loose. (been there)
