Default Air Intake Dilema

I have installed a motor from TPIS into my 86 corvette. The present set-up has a 58 millimeter throttle body. Has anyone every adapted an LT5 or an LT4 intake in a similar situation?

The later models had a different radiator angle so the filter housing will not fit. I used the EBL flash ECM to eliminate the MAF and built a sheet metal filter housing with a 4 inch aluminum tube to it. It looks much like the original but is much wider and thicker where it goes over the radiator. I can easily reach through the tube from the throttle body side and touch the filter from inside. I used the stock filter, it is the same one used in the ZO6 through 2004, but I could have built it for a larger filter.
