I am in the process of installing a newer rear than what came in mine.
The 95 Dana 44 that I am installing has the lines for the anti lock breaks still attached. Would it be a bad thing to remove the cable since I cant use it ? Will "stuff" I need come falling out ? Can I close up the whole thats left when the cable is out? figured I would ask before I pulled it.
Thanks
User ID can't be used as a reliable determination of the "YEAR" discussed so if this is an '84 and you're attempting the install of a '95 D44, you can only use the center section and cover but will need the C-beam and drive-shaft. The left and right suspension components can't be swapped if it's an '87 or earlier.
So what year do you actually have? NO ABS WIRE hints '84 or '85 BUT ............
My Corvette is a 1984. I have the correct drive shaft and modified the trans end of the c-beam to accommodate for the larger rear housing. Everything else looks like it bolts right up if I am missing something I would appreciate any info.I have already changed my front suspension with one from 1994. I have year 2000 wheels and figured the wider rear suspension will bring my wheels out further(no more spacers). Getting back to my original question,Can I just loose the wire? Thanks
