soft bakes

I recently installed some inexpensive front brake pads on my '88. Since then the pedal is soft and i wonder if i will stop sometimes....The salesman assured me the cheaper pads would work as well put not last as long...any thoughts?

Did you open the hydraulic system while you were changing pads?

Go to Auto Zone and buy a set of the $28 Performance Friction pads.

uh... you may need to leave them in the oven a bit longer.

the pads are more than likely junk... or there is a bigger problem in the system...

Did you bleed the system, is the fluid good (not black).

Also, buy you some Performance Friction Pads.
