I want to install a new TPS on my 92. Inside the box, there was an important notice that read as follows :
If replacing the tps on a 92 that has abs/asr system, the ebcm must learn the tps idle position voltage with the new components installed. This is necessary to ensure effective engine torque reduction during asr events.
REFER TO APPROPRIATE SERVICE MANUALS FOR PROPER INSTALLATION PROCEDURES AND ADJUSTMENT SPECIFICATIONS.
So, would somebody please tell me how to install this thing so
I can make sure the maximum amount of torqauge will be applied.
Thanks. I already read most of that and got lost. I am pretty sure that has mainly to do with early C4's. My vette is a 92. I do not think its the same. I know this sounds weird, but I just want to replace it and I was hoping it was a plug and play and I didn't have to buy scanners and ohm meters and stick sewing needles in a bunch of wires.

sorry scrappy, I was confused when you asked me about tps
That I remember - I installed the new tps and clocked it about the same as the one I took off. Tightened it down and drove it a bit in stop and go, checked idle speed and tps voltage and all was good
