Default Replacement Valve Covers?

I purchased the Spectre 5260 valve covers only to find that the oil filler and PCV holes are on the wrong end on the passenger side cover. Anybody know of a standard height replacement set of covers that have the holes in the correct location? The gold plated repops are too expensive for my taste.

Have you talked to your source? It looks like the RPC R9702, listed in the Jeg's website, have the holes as you want them. $55

Those are the same as the Spectre covers. I was fooled by the picture twice... first from AMAZON and then from Corvette Central. Looking at the picture, you would think that the oil filler hole is the "lighter" colored hole in the passenger side (2 hole) cover.... but it is not. The "dark" hole is the oil fill hole... which is on the wrong end... reversed from the factory covers. The PCV system also cannot be hooked back up.

Edit: The Spectre 5260, TransDapt 9702, and Mr Gasket 9415 are all the same covers.

You're paying so much attention to detail I think that if there was "no rescue" of yours I'd maybe shop here in the parts section for a pair that you could paint or powder. Shop local maybe - take your right side to a performance shop "local" and point out your needs, might be "on the shelf".

I would think the use of what you've bought would likely require a different grommet maybe for the PCV and a different choice for a filler cap. I haven't had a pair of L98, LT1 or SBC covers in my hand for years.

I see several potential covers but I'd want a "hands on" to say yes/no and not rely upon "product images" which seldom are a "what you get".

I gave up my quest... have to move forward. The PCV holes are wrong on both sides. The OEM PCV hoses cannot be installed. You would have to do some kind of Rube Goldberg with the hoses. That's just not my cup of tea. I ground down the cancer on the ones I have and I'm trying to come up with a good way to hi temp paint magnesium. I'm going to try VHT Hi Temp (550) primer and then VHT Hi Temp Silver or clear. I don't trust the Duplicolor etching primer due to the hi temps. I don't really trust the VHT Hi Temp Primer either, but beggars can't be choosers. Before:

I may have to JB Weld the bottom to get the gasket to seal.
