Default Back from CA, car is now fixed....

**** TOPIC LINE SHOULD SAY -- CANADA -- ****

Got back to the US on sunday night, went to the track on Monday (didnt run, reason below) and today I am back at work.

While I was gone, I had dropped the car off to get some repairs, general maintenance done. What they found is listed below:

All of these items were original
1) hoses (replaced)
2) belts (replaced)
3) trans fluid and filter (replaced)
4) rearend fluid (replaced)
5) plugs and wires (not touched)
6) opti (not touched)
7) rotors (warped, but not touched)
8) coolant (replaced)
9) thermostat (stuck, replaced)

They also found out that my universals in the driveshaft AND half shafts are shot and need replaced. My shocks are good, and most of the car is in decent shape. This repair shop (going unmentioned) quoted me a price of $550 to replace the universal joints !!!!! That is why they didnt do the repair, I am shopping around for a better price, unless anyone on here knows of someone....

Otherwise, the trans runs at a constant 195-200 (down from 240) and the coolant sits about the same as well. The car is much more responsive now and as soon as the universals are fixed, I can get back to racing. :)

Mike
