Supercharger or turbo

the supercharger kits are out there but have their 'warts' that were never taken care of.
talk to a good speed shop if you want turbo
talk to greg carroll at blowerworks if you want to go superchRger. he knows how to get around the belt slip issues of the commercial supercharger kits

Cam and tune
I want to get a new cam for my 1986 corvette but people said I need to re-tune the ecm. Not sure how to do all that because I'm new to all that so if anyone has any advice that would be great or anyone in the San Diego area that know that could show me how for some money I would be willing to do that also.
Jeesh and thisVV
Ok so if I got a decent cam what kind of tune do you mean? Like would I have to get a new chip or what? New to corvettes just got mine last weekend and want mine to be loud as ****

I'd recommend a supercharger. They appear to be easier to install on these cars than turbos. Especially because the space between the exhaust manifolds and the frame is next to nothing.

Watch the latest motortrend building their 78 Camaro. I think they have less than 10k in the car and have a driving 650+hp car. 5.3 with ebay Silverado turbo kit. Not saying it's the best, but that single turbo on the 5.3 is way out performing a supercharger. The turbo gave them another 300-350 hp I think. COMPLETE kit was $2,000+. Depends on your car and how you will mod it or hack it.
